Anushka Sharma has made quite an explosive statement on her recent outing on the chat show Koffee with Karan. According to Anushka, Karan Johar, “would sometimes touch” her “very inappropriately”. It all started with Karan Johar admitted to having a little crush on Anushka “right through the making of” Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and took a dramatic turn when Anushka said, “I am sorry I was gonna put a sexual harassment case against him,” This statement left Karan in splits while, Katrina Kaif who was sharing the couch looked every bit confused by it. “He used to sometimes touch me very inappropriately,” Anushka told Katrina.

After drawing flak for making 'sexist' comments against 'Baahubali' actor Tamannaah Bhatia, director G Suraj has issued a statement of apology. Mr Suraj recently directed a film in which Ms Bhatia has a leading role. He reportedly made 'sexist' comments while discussing Ms Bhatia's costumes. Co-actor Vishal, who is also the general secretary of the South Indian Artistes' Association tweeted in support of Tamannaah, after which the director apologised for his remarks.

The Cabinet today approved promulgation of an ordinance, named 'The Specified Bank Notes Cessation of Liabilities Ordinance', to impose a penalty, including a jail term, for possession of the scrapped 500 and 1,000 rupee notes beyond a cut-off. The Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi also approved an ordinance to amend the RBI Act to extinguish the liability of the government and the central bank on the demonetised high-denomination notes to prevent future litigations.
